NOVEMBER 13-15, 2019 – Hilton Garden Inn Calgary
On behalf of the organizing committee for the first national scientific cancer congress on Patient Reported Outcomes, we welcome you to the 2019 CanPROS Congress – A Catalyst for Whole-Person Care. The goal of the conference will be to evaluate the impact of Patient Reported Outcomes (PROS and PREMS) on physician experience, research challenges, impact on the health care policy, and importantly, patient outcomes in cancer care delivery. The interactive meeting program has been designed to provide a number of learning objectives, as the premiere Canadian open scientific forum to submit current research for oral and poster abstract sessions.
The 2019 CanPROS Congress will include education sessions from 4 highly regarded international keynote speakers, all leaders in their respective areas:
Dr. Andrea Pusic, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA
Dr. Chris Forrest, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA
Dr. David Cella, Northwestern Medicine, Chicago, IL
Dr. Stirling Bryan, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC
The congress will also hold critical insight sessions sure to be of relevant interest for all attendees to:
- Weigh in on topical controversial debates that highlight current challenges utilizing PROS
- Have the unique opportunity to contribute to a national consensus statement on the current state,
challenges and aligned recommendations in implementing and measuring outcomes of PROS.
- An opportunity to participate in a pre-conference PROS education course run by ISOQOL (Based on enough interest).
Attendees from all stakeholder areas of healthcare are welcome to register and participate, with the congress’ 4 themes applicable to all who are involved in the cancer care spectrum: PROS Value to Patients, Clinicians, Caregivers and Health Care Policy. Although the meeting focus this year will be on cancer, all research on PROS has relevance across numerous disease areas; the knowledge transfer and national consensus outcomes on PROS whole-person centered care will be nimble and relevant to the health management of many life-altering conditions. Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, research scientists, information technologists, leaders in cancer centres and health ministries, patients, industry and supporters are all welcome to attend.
We look forward to you joining us in Calgary, AB and hope you will also take advantage of spending some time enjoying the spectacular scenery and family activities in the nearby Rocky Mountains.
